Alegria\u2014porque hoje entendo mais profundamente a b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o de ter recebido o sacrif\u00edcio de Deus que entregou o Seu Filho, Jesus Cristo na cruz do Calv\u00e1rio h\u00e1 mais de dois mil anos. E gratid\u00e3o\u2014porque, como recipiente desse sacrif\u00edcio precioso, poderoso e inestim\u00e1vel, posso declarar com ousadia a minha f\u00e9 em Jesus Cristo como meu Salvador e Redentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como \u00e9 lindo poder afirmar, juntamente com outros Crist\u00e3os, que <em>fui crucificada com Cristo; e j\u00e1 n\u00e3o sou eu quem vive, mas Cristo vive em mim. <\/em>Porque <em><strong>a vida que agora vivo na carne, vivo-a pela f\u00e9 no Filho de Deus, que me amou e a Si mesmo se entregou por mim.<\/strong><\/em> (<strong>Galatians 2:20<\/strong>). Also, I know that I am not alone. For I live this new life by the power of the Holy Spirit\u2014our <em>Advogado<\/em> e <em>Consolador<\/em>\u2014whom the Father has sent in the name of His Son to teach us all things and remind us of everything Jesus taught His disciples while He walked on the earth (<strong>John 14:26<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No entanto, a minha compreens\u00e3o da cruz e do pre\u00e7o que Jesus Cristo pagou pelos meus pecados n\u00e3o veio de forma f\u00e1cil. Levou tempo, ora\u00e7\u00f5es inseguras, e uma determina\u00e7\u00e3o inabal\u00e1vel da minha parte tentando descobrir o verdadeiro significado da minha heran\u00e7a crist\u00e3 e como a f\u00e9 em Cristo poderia transformar a minha vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Encontros com a Cruz<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ainda me lembro das muitas celebra\u00e7\u00f5es especiais de P\u00e1scoa na minha inf\u00e2ncia no Brasil. Cada dia da Semana Santa era sagrado e especial. Havia um peso inexplic\u00e1vel que eu nao sabia explicar crian\u00e7a. Eu sabia que est\u00e1vamos relembrando a morte de Jesus Cristo\u2014o Filho de Deus\u2014e que o feriado n\u00e3o deveria ser ignorado, mas sim honrado e celebrado de forma especial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">E o meu dia favorito da Semana Santa era Sexta-feira Santa. O jejum e o sil\u00eancio ao longo do dia n\u00e3o eram f\u00e1ceis para uma crian\u00e7a, mas valia a pena esperar pelo almo\u00e7o de peixe em fam\u00edlia, e os filmes ou encena\u00e7\u00f5es da Paix\u00e3o de Cristo. Aqueles momentos despertavam um profundo senso de rever\u00eancia no meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o. Havia um ar de santidade em tudo aquilo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">E depois vinha o domingo de Pascoa... e a alegria das surpresas de doces, chocolates e muita comida!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>My Most Cherished Memory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mas apesar dessas mem\u00f3rias poderosas, a minha lembran\u00e7a mais preciosa das P\u00e1scoas passadas me remete a uma Sexta-feira Santa espec\u00edfica na minha juventude. Lembro-me vividamente da minha m\u00e3e e eu, de bra\u00e7os dados e olhos cheios de l\u00e1grimas, seguindo uma multid\u00e3o em uma prociss\u00e3o silenciosa que seguiu da par\u00f3quia local at\u00e9 o cen\u00e1rio designado para ser o \u201cMonte Calv\u00e1rio.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amidst the attentive crowd, we stood and mournfully watched as a vivid reenactment of the Lord\u2019s final hours unfolded before us. With eyes fixed on the actor\u2014his seemingly torn and bloodied body, his groans so real as he endured each lash\u2014we followed closely behind, staring as he humbly dragged a heavy wooden cross uphill. Unimaginably, he pressed forward carrying his heavy burden without complaint, though clearly bearing much pain and sorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e3o diz\u00edamos uma palavra. Ningu\u00e9m falava. Ningu\u00e9m ousava. Apenas caminh\u00e1vamos pela \u201cVia Crucis\u201d da encena\u00e7\u00e3o,<em>Via Crucis<\/em>,\u201d remembering Jesus Christ&#8217;s sacrificial journey. Silently, with tears streaming down our faces, we tried to grasp the significance of His blood shed on the cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De alguma forma, naquele momento sagrado, parec\u00edamos entender mais profundamente o que Jesus, o Filho de Deus, suportou para nos salvar. N\u00e3o porque Ele tivesse que faz\u00ea-lo\u2014mas porque escolheu faz\u00ea-lo. <em><strong>Porque Deus amou o mundo de tal maneira que deu o Seu Filho unig\u00eanito, para que todo aquele que nele cr\u00ea n\u00e3o pere\u00e7a, mas tenha a vida eterna (Jo\u00e3o 3:16).<\/strong> <\/em>(<strong>John 3:16<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet, despite the unique impact that memorable experience of Jesus\u2019 passion had upon me, many years would pass before I could truly understand the transforming power of His painful death on our behalf. For me, Holy Week was a solemn time in which we remembered an event of enormous historical and religious significance. But, sadly, that was it! The miracle of Jesus\u2019 death and resurrection soon faded from my memory as each Easter Sunday came to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Um Encontro com o Amor de Jesus <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Com o passar dos anos, envelheci, enfrentei desafios e sofrimentos inesperados, passei por trai\u00e7\u00f5es, me deparei com hipocrisia na igreja, vivenciei rejei\u00e7\u00e3o em momentos de dificuldades, e me acabei me afastando da minha f\u00e9 crist\u00e3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By age 17, &nbsp;those treasured memories had vanished. Though I didn\u2019t deny the existence of God, I began to doubt His goodness. The traditions and rituals I had observed through the years were still special, but clearly not sufficient to assure me of God\u2019s reality, His love for me, and His personal involvevement in my life. I desperately needed more\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But thanks be to God in all His mercy and grace, for when I needed Him most, He reached down to me. &nbsp;Yes, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who endured the cruelest of injustices and rose from the dead for our sake, drew near to me in my time of need. <em><strong>Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you<\/strong>, <\/em>(James 4:8) the Bible states, for <em><strong>\"O Senhor est\u00e1 perto de todos os que o invocam, de todos os que o invocam com sinceridade. Ele realiza os desejos daqueles que o temem; ouve-os gritar por socorro e os salva.\"<\/strong><\/em>. (Psalm 145:18-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">E, assim como Deus prometeu em Sua Palavra, aconteceu. Quando desesperadamente eu precisava saber que algu\u00e9m se importava comigo, Ele se manifestou! Eu clamei, e Ele respondeu. E Ele n\u00e3o apenas respondeu \u00e0 minha ora\u00e7\u00e3o, mas transformou a minha vida!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, today I humbly echo Job\u2019s words and declare: <em><strong>I know that my redeemer&nbsp;lives,&nbsp;and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed,&nbsp;yet in&nbsp;my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him&nbsp;with my own eyes\u2014I, and not another.&nbsp;How my heart yearns&nbsp;within me! <\/strong><\/em>(Job 19:25-27). &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus \u00e9 diferente de qualquer outro \u201cdeus\u201d que voc\u00ea venha a seguir. Pois somente Ele \u00e9 o Deus vivo e verdadeiro que ainda salva, ainda cura, e ainda fala conosco hoje!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Portanto, se voc\u00ea j\u00e1 observou alguma forma de tradi\u00e7\u00e3o ou ritual, mas voc\u00ea  sabe que, no fundo, voc\u00ea nunca experimentou o amor do Filho do Deus Vivo\u2014saiba que Jesus \u00e9 real! E o amor Dele por voc\u00ea \u00e9 real! Na verdade, o amor de Jesus por voc\u00ea \u00e9 mais real do que qualquer outra coisa que voc\u00ea possa experimentar!<em><strong>\u2014<\/strong><\/em> know that He is real! And His love is real! In fact, Jesus&#8217; love for you is more real than anything you will ever experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My prayer is that beyond any tradition you have followed, you may experience Jesus Christ&#8217;s life-changing love . And if you haven&#8217;t yet, I pray that you may embrace Him as your Lord and Savior!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As promessas de Deus s\u00e3o verdadeiras. Assim como Jesus transformou a minha vida, Ele pode transformar a sua tamb\u00e9m!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verses for Further Study<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\"O Senhor est\u00e1 perto de todos os que o invocam, de todos os que o invocam com sinceridade. Ele realiza os desejos daqueles que o temem; ouve-os gritar por socorro e os salva.\"<\/em><\/strong>. (Psalm 145:18-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Porque o sal\u00e1rio do pecado \u00e9 a morte, mas o dom gratuito de Deus \u00e9 a vida eterna, por Cristo Jesus nosso Senhor. (Romanos 6:23)<\/strong><\/em>.
